Garcinia mangostana Extract
The fruit of the Garcinia mangostana or fruit Mangosteen is known as the "Queen of the Fruits" due its delicious taste and pleasant aroma. The origin of this plant is in the Southest Asia. The fruit rind of Garcinia mangostana was traditionally used to concoct teas, juices and topical ointments for treatment skin infection.
The Mangosteen fruit rind has nature's most concentrated source of Xanthone (C13H8O2), a family of vigorous antioxidant. It also contains other bioactive substances including tannins, flavanoids and polyphenolic compounds, which justify its well know as antioxidant properties.
